Prestigious Aureate primary school hosts successful open day

Principal Botha said the successful open day not only highlighted the school's revival but also served as a testament to the power of community involvement and leadership in driving positive change.

Prestigious Aureate Primary School in SE 1’s Vanderbijlpark recently hosted an open day, showcasing its remarkable transformation and revival under the leadership of Principal Wilmarié Botha.

The open day not only provided an opportunity for the community to witness the school’s remarkable progress but also featured an Emfuleni Local Football Association league match, drawing in a crowd of over 200 people from different walks of life. The event featured more than eight teams from around the Vaal.

The event was a testament to the tremendous strides made by the school, which had previously been abandoned and left in ruins, becoming a haven for criminals, vandals, and drug addicts. Principal Botha’s unwavering dedication and vision breathed new life into the school, transforming it into a thriving hub of learning and community engagement.

Principal Botha said the successful open day not only highlighted the school’s revival but also served as a testament to the power of community involvement and leadership in driving positive change.

“We are thrilled by the overwhelming success of the open day, which not only showcased the remarkable transformation of our school but also highlighted the power of community involvement in driving positive change. This event has truly been a testament to the resilience and spirit of our school and community,” she said adding that the school stood as a shining example of resilience and transformation in Vanderbijlpark.

“We are not just about imparting knowledge; we are about transforming lives and communities. Together, we have shown that with dedication and vision, even the most challenging situations can be turned into opportunities for growth and revival,”  she said.
