The victims alleged that they were joking with one of the suspects when the other one gave his friend the firearm to shoot at the ladies.

SEBOKENG.- The  Sebokeng SAPS are investigating a case of attempted murder and unlicensed firearm after a suspect shot at the ladies who were from work on Sunday.

Police spokesperson, Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane said that the Sebokeng SAPS Crime Prevention Unit was busy patrolling in Sebokeng area when they received a tipoff about a gunshot fired in Zone 13. They responded swiftly, and upon arrival at the place, the victims alleged that they were joking with one of the suspects when the other one gave his friend the firearm to shoot at the ladies.

“The Crime Prevention Unit worked hard in locating the suspects, with help from zone 13 community members, until they managed to arrest them. Last week, the same shift managed to assist two victims who were hijacked in Heilbron (Free State area). While patrolling in Karmaland Plots, they were able to spot the victims and further managed to recover their two stolen vehicles,” said Mokhachane.

The suspects will appear before the Sebokeng Magistrate’s court facing charges for crimes they have committed.
