Police crack down on fake goods in Vereeniging

Seven shops were visited during the operation.

VEREENIGING.- The Gauteng Counterfeit Unit, in collaboration with brand protectors and Vereeniging Visible Police, conducted an operation in Vereeniging on Wednesday August 6.

This resulted in the seizure of counterfeit and illicit goods worth over R1 million, the police said.

Seven shops were visited during the operation.

Items seized include counterfeit consumables, counterfeit clothing and bags, Illicit medicine and honey products with a total value of R1 064 820.
