SHARPEVILLE.- A case of murder is being investigated after a father allegedly murdered his daughter recently.

It is said that the Sharpeville police were summoned to a scene of murder at Phelindaba and upon arrival at the scene, a lifeless body of a six-year-old girl was found, with multiple stab wounds on the upper body. Police spokesperson, Constable Busisiwe Sango, said that preliminary investigations revealed that the young girl resided with her 33-year-old father, while separated from her mother.

“The suspect allegedly fled the scene after the incident. The police opened a murder docket for further investigation. On Thursday, October 9, the father of the deceased handed himself in at Sharpeville SAPS.”

The investigation is ongoing.
