Man (31) found murdered in Zone 14

Sebokeng police probe murder after a man’s body is found in the street; suspect hands himself over.

SEBOKENG.- A case of murder is being investigated after a body of a man was found lying in the streets of Zone 14, Sebokeng on Tuesday, November 25.

Police spokesperson, Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane, the Sebokeng police were summoned to Zone 14 Sebokeng and on arrival they found the deceased lying lifelessly on the ground with blood stains.

Mokhachane added that upon investigation, it was found that he sustained a deep cut wound at the back of his head, multiple lacerations on both feet, and a laceration on the hand.

“According to information, the deceased resides on the same street where he was murdered. It is unclear what had happened and at what time the incident occurred, but the deceased’s mother alleged that she last saw her son on November 24 in the afternoon and he was in his shack.”

The deceased (31) was declared dead by the Emergency Medical Services (EMS), identified on the scene by his mother and further taken to Sebokeng Forensic Pathology Services for further investigations.

“On the same day while the scene was still active, the suspect handed himself over to the police, where the investigation will continue and he will appear before the court of law facing charges of murder.”
