Tuesday time trial turns into a heartwarming cause

Runners go the extra mile—for local animals.

VEREENIGING – During the Vaal Athletic Club’s Tuesday Time Trial on December 9, members of the club, along with participants from neighbouring clubs such as Actom Athletic Club and Meyerton Athletic Club, collected 181.5 kg of dry dog and cat food plus two cans, already surpassing last year’s total of 170.5 kg.

The collection will be delivered to the SPCA at 09:00 on Monday morning, but organisers are still accepting contributions and hope to reach 250 kg.

All donations will go to a good cause, supporting local animals in need.

The organisers have expressed their gratitude to everyone who contributed and to the participating athletic clubs for their support.
