Biekie Bos Christmas Party brings festive joy to 65 children

65 smiles, 65 gifts, and one unforgettable day!

VEREENIGING — Julien du Plessis brought festive cheer to 65 local children with a special Christmas party held at Biekie Bos on December 16.

Each child received gifts and school supplies, ensuring a memorable and joyful experience.

Julien, who was recently crowned Queen of Africa 2025, organised the event with heartfelt support from the community.

Laughter and excitement fill the air as children interact with ‘Santa Claus’ during the Biekie Bos Christmas Party.

“We’re incredibly grateful for every helping hand today,” Julien said, celebrating a day filled with laughter.

The success of the event was made possible through the generosity of numerous individuals and organisations, including Sonja and Pieter Pike, as well as sponsors Lekanya Projects, Nirvana Training Academy, and Biekie Bos.

Residents of Yellowbill Street and Cormorant Street also contributed generous donations.

Transport for the children was provided by Cross Country Coaches for those travelling from Meyerton and Van Wyk Bus Services for children from Vanderbijlpark.

A delicious meal was served by Biekie Bos, with additional support from volunteers, including a team of little “elves” who helped throughout the day.

Special acknowledgement goes to Liané de Kock for her invaluable role in organising and distributing gifts and helping to clean up, and to Oom Roy for capturing the event through photos and videos.

With the combined efforts of organisers, volunteers, sponsors, and the community, the Christmas party created a festive atmosphere and spread hope among the children.
