Fashion Without Borders at Vaal Mall

Fashion Without Borders celebrates fashion and entrepreneurship and helps VUT students explore opportunities beyond the classroom.

VANDERBIJLPARK – Vaal Mall was transformed into a high-energy fashion runway on October 2 and 3, as Fashion Without Borders provided a platform for Vaal University of Technology (VUT) students and emerging designers to display their latest collections.

This collaboration between Star Omoda/Jaecoo (proud sponsor), VUT Student Life and Governance, Fashion Without Borders, and Vaal Mall shows how strategic partnerships create meaningful student-development opportunities.

After hard work and a lot of preparation, it was a huge success for the Star Omoda/Jaecoo team, VUT Student Life and Governance, Fashion Without Borders, and Vaal Mall.

The two-night fashion extravaganza delivered striking garments and seamless catwalk performances (this showcase was part of a three-day programme).

Both designers and models brought high-caliber artistry to the stage.

Spectators were treated to an unforgettable show that highlighted the depth of South Africa’s rising fashion talent.

Cutting-edge innovation

“At Omoda & Jaecoo, design is in our DNA – bold, modern, and built to turn heads. Supporting the next generation of visionary designers as they took to the runway was a natural fit,” says Susan Gorman, Dealer Principal of Amoda & Jaecoo Vanderbijlpark.

To celebrate the occasion, Amoda & Jaecoo Vanderbijlpark brought cutting-edge innovation to the venue, showcasing their all-new Jaecoo J5 BEV (fully electric) and Jaecoo J5 HEV (hybrid).

Guests got an up-close look at the sleek styling and future-forward technology that define the Jaecoo experience.

“As part of the Star Motor Group, empowering our local community is at the core of what we do. Supporting VUT’s emerging talent isn’t just a sponsorship; it’s a direct investment in the vibrant future and creativity of the Vaal Triangle.

“To every student and designer who shared their vision on the runway: we salute your drive and talent,” concluded Gorman.
