VANDERBIJLPARK. – Her ambition is to play professional football in Europe someday.

Meet 23-year-old NWU Vaal student Precious Dhlamini. She is a vibrant, hardworking third-year student and a promising football player who was recently crowned as Sedibeng’s Sportswoman of the Year. “I really did not expect it,” she says.  As Captain of NWU Vaal’s women’s football team, she uses her leading ability to inspire others and to get the best out of her teammates.

Born and raised in Sharpeville, she is currently studying Sports and Recreation Management. She started playing street soccer with the boys at the age of nine and has the ability to play either wing or striker. Her motto is plain and simple: “If you can dream it, you can achieve it.”
