This is the meeting that was scheduled to take place yesterday at Scottsville, but rain forced it to be postponed to today and a change of course to the Greyville turf track. One thing we can be sure of is that the going will be on the yielding side to it would help to find horses who have form in that sort of going.
Hasta Manana has run three times in the wet for a win, a second and a third.
Sir Michael has had four starts in the wet for two wins and two thirds so that augurs well for his chances.

RACE 8 NO 7 MOUNT PLEASANT – EACHWAY
This Australian-bred colt was regarded as potentially one of the best runners in the country after his first three runs. He was trained by Mike de Kock and started an odds-on favourite to win last year’s Dingaans. He was well beaten and nobody could understand why. He continually disappointed and was then passed to Duncan Howells in KZN.
He had a promising comeback run over 1000m in the wet when he made up lots of ground when ending up too far back. That run should have brought him on and he now could be ready to win this Pinnacle Stakes over 1200m.
