Russian Rock is last year’s Cape Guineas winner who has not really repeated the form since then. However, he looks to be coming back to his best form and this 1400m on the Kenilworth Summer Course with the longer run-in will be right up his street. He is well weighted to win this Graduation Plate while Captain Tatters is clearly second best.

RACE 1 NO 6 COFFEE BREAK – EACHWAY
When it comes to the choice of Coffee Break the maxim of “horses for courses” comes to the fore. This three-year-gelding has run four races at Durbanville while his two other races were over 1200m at Kenilworth and Fairview respectively.
He failed to feature in any of his races at Durbanville, where all races are run around a very tight-turning bend, while he has finished second and first respectively in his two races up the straight.
Back to racing up the straight Justin Snaith’s looks excellent value at 7-1 in a seven-horse field looks great value.
