Vaughan Marshall set for a return to form
Different Drum in the fourth, Senso Unico in the fifth and Sacha in the seventh could make it a day in September to remember for the Milnerton maestro.

Veteran Cape Town trainer Vaughan Marshall has been a tad quiet lately – by his high standards of consistency. That could all change at Durbanville on Tuesday when he fields a few horses with bright prospects.
Different Drum in the fourth, Senso Unico in the fifth and Sacha in the seventh could make it a day in September to remember for the Milnerton maestro.
Different Drum is a maiden filly who has shown marked improvement in recent weeks as she has got accustomed to racing and been stepped up to contests over a mile. Ossie Noach is her regular rider and she will know him well enough after five trysts to trust his guidance around the unfamiliar Durbanville bend.
On comparative form, she has Cio Cio San held, while there’s little in it with Field Of Vision. Her greater experience could see her best the latter – leaving Razzle Dazzle Em as the principal danger.
Senso Unico is Marshall’s hope in the male heat of the pair of 1600m Maiden Plates and if he can focus on the task in hand should go very close to winning. The colt has had just two outings and has been a tad gauche, yet has managed fourth and third places nonetheless.
Keagan de Melo is entrusted with getting the callow fellow to run straight and from a handy draw could gain supremacy over main threat Master Redoute.
A year older than these two brats is Sacha, who escaped the maiden basement on 24 July with a polished performance in her fifth outing. The daughter of Dynasty, out of a Western Winter mare, certainly has the pedigree to develop into a useful handicapper and she can get the ball rolling in Race 7, a FM81 affair over 1600m.
