Anché on quest to uplift Boksburg through kindness

Anché Moore has transformed her quest for purpose into a movement dedicated to helping those in need.

Anché Moore, a community advocate from Witfield, has embarked on a transformative journey of purpose through her compassionate initiatives in Boksburg.

For years, Moore grappled with the question of her life’s purpose, and it was not until she began helping others that she found fulfilment.

Her journey took a significant turn when she established a Facebook support group assisting needy families, which has since blossomed into a movement known as #Feedingboksburg.

Her soup kitchens, established under the #FeedingBoksburg initiative, started about four months ago in Boksburg North to feed struggling families.

“When I saw the challenges people face, I knew I wanted to do this daily,” she shared.

Moore’s dream is to host these feeding initiatives twice a month, though she acknowledges the need for more support to achieve this.

“It’s not just about feeding people. It’s about treating everyone with kindness and respect, spreading positivity and uplifting one another. Kindness is free and something we can all share.”

Her ambitions extend beyond providing meals. She hopes one day to help people secure employment and housing, creating a lasting impact on their lives.

She also manages a thriving Facebook community group called the Boksburg Community Group, which she revitalised after assuming its administration.

Initially a business-focused group, it had faced issues with scammers and inefficiency.

Under her leadership, the group has grown to 201 000 members from 10 000 and now serves as a safe, supportive space for the community.

“We implemented strict rules to keep the group scam-free and positive. It’s become a platform where people connect, support each other and learn about the work we do with #FeedingBoksburg.

The group holds a special place in my heart and would not be possible without the dedicated team ensuring it runs smoothly.”

Balancing passion with daily life

Moore’s commitment to her community work is evident, but balancing it with her personal and professional life requires careful planning.

She is grateful for a supportive employer who encourages her efforts and for her family, including her husband and children.

“I’m fortunate to have a boss who understands my passion and guides me. And my family’s support is everything.”

A vision for the future

Looking ahead, Moore dreams of inspiring others to give without hesitation.

“I want businesses and individuals to see the value in helping others and join our mission,” she explained.

Her ultimate goal is to grow #FeedingBoksburg into a movement that touches even more lives.

“Sometimes, all it takes is a smile or a small act of kindness to make a big difference. We all have the power to change lives, one kind gesture at a time.”
