Clear and present value

It's that time of year again, when businesses and companies across the board start consolidating and clearing their surplus assets to make room for new equipment.

Selling such assets by way of auction is arguably one of the most effective methods of meeting this requirement and Park Village Auction’s (PVA) upcoming auction will do just that.

PVA has been commissioned by De Beers Group Services to host its annual clearance sale which will comprise, among other items, generator sets, pipes, liners, gaskets, electrical motors, bearings, valves, pumps, compressors and scrap metal. Some of the assets are somewhat specialised in nature as they stem from marine mining operations.

The auction will be held online with registration opening on of November 18 at 8am. The online bidding window will open to all registered bidders between 9am and 3pm on November 21.

According to PVA’s Dr Bertie Saunderson, the assets to be auctioned are of a particularly good calibre and should appeal not only to niche operators but buyers across the board given their general purpose functionality.
