Great deals up for grabs

Park Village Auctions (PVA) is ending 2013 off with a bang as it gears up for its last truck auction of the year.

According to PVA’s LeRoy Augustyn, the company’s truck yard is “bursting at the seams” with stock provided by banks, liquidators, repossession managers, trustees and executors alike seeking to clear their books before the year comes to a close, all of which makes for a very promising event.

Rigid trucks, truck tractors and LDV’s are to be auctioned.

These include Toyota Dyna 4-093 and 8-145, 500, 300 and 17-257; Mercedes Benz Axor; Actros, Mitsubishi Fuso; MAN TGA 33.360; a fleet of Nissan UD 440; UD460 AND UD390; Iveco, TATA 1518, 3434, a fleet of Volvo FM400; 440 and 460 Truck Tractors International 9800 and Freightliner Argosy CISX-530 truck tractors. Trailers earmarked to go under the hammer comprise a collection of SA Truck Bodies; Hendred; Afrit; Motor Trail; flat deck link trailers; skeletal; curtain side trailers, side tipper trailers and CTS side tipper link trailers. A number of tractors, skid-steer loaders, New Holland excavators, backhoe loaders and Sullair drill rigs will also be brought to market at PVA’s last auction.

“It’s been a surprisingly good year for the new and used truck industry overall thanks largely to the activity of a number of municipalities and large logistics companies seeking to offset costs and upgrade their rolling stock,” said Augustyn.

“Whether or not 2014 will prove just as successful, depends on a number of factors. For now, though, PVA is simply looking forward to hosting a final successful auction and enjoy the fruits of its labours.”
