Massive machinery sale

August is turning out to be a bumper month for Park Village Auctions as it gears up for yet another "massive" industrial type auction.


On August 13, PVA will auction assets stemming from Burde and Co, a well-established sheet metal manufacturing and engineering plant concern, which is currently in business rescue.

The largest collection of assets will be auctioned under the banner of machinery that comprises a large assortment of Grandini coiling and slitting lines, a large assortment of mechanical and hydraulic guillotines, a large assortment of Caxton, Raskin, Gosnetta, Hort, and Ambrogio Galli eccentric presses ranging from 10 to 200 tonnes and a large assortment of grover roll, gutter, steel fascia and ribbing valey former lines.

The machinery “pool” also features a large assortment of grover crimpers and hydraulic and mechanical press brakes, corrugator forming line and IBR forming line, a large assortment of pipe benders, fly presses, seam lockers, welders, cut to length lines, compressors, grinders, lathes, milling machinery and much more besides.

A large collection of quality vehicles will also go under the hammer, including a 2006 Toyota Hilux 2.5 D4D LDV, a 2006 Hyundai H100 LDV, a 2011 Hyundai H100 LDV, a 1989 Nissan Diesel CM0 dropside truck, a 2007 Dyna 8-145 dropside truck, a 2005 Isuzi dropside truck, a 2012 Chevrolet Corsa LDV and a large assortment of single and double axel trailers.

An assortment of stock including sheet metal rolls and completed stock will also be auctioned alongside a collection of office equipment comprising a large assortment of quality office desks, copiers, computers, filing cabinets, stationery cabinets, shelving and boardroom tables amongst many other assets.

PVA’s Paul Lendia notes: “Sales such as these illustrate just how important auctions are in the realm of business rescue. They unlock much-needed liquidity and capital which, in most instances, gives businesses a fighting chance at bouncing back. We hope that this will be the case here.

“Given the nature and quality of the assets to be auctioned, we fully expect a fantastic turnout on the day and will do our best to achieve the best possible prices.”
