Spacious upmarket living

'Jaw-dropping" is arguably the best term to describe one of the last properties Park Village Auction's (PVA) will auction in 2013.

The property in question is a double-storey affair located at 282 Fish Eagle Crescent in the upmarket residential estate of Kosmos Ridge on Simon Bekker Avenue in Hartbeespoort.

The ground floor of the property features a double garage, a large, double storey entrance and guest cloakroom and a central atrium area comprising a formal lounge, a kitchen, a pantry and TV lounge which lead to a paved patio area and infinity swimming pool via swing doors. Also located on the ground floor are three en-suite bedrooms and a master bedroom with a dressing room and en-suite bathroom. All the bedrooms feed onto a large entertainment patio.

The upper floor comprises a landing area complete with lounge, TV lounge, two en-suite guest bedrooms, a guest suite, a gym room, a squash court, a study and office suite, a large boardroom with built-in cupboards, a guest cloakroom, and a small lounge area with kitchenette. A storage garage and domestic accommodation also feature. In total, the property covers an area measuring 4 189m2.

In addition to this sprawling residence, PVA has been asked to auction an unimproved portion of farm land located directly behind the estate. Referred to as De Rust’ 478, the land measures 51.79 hectares and overlooks Hartbeespoort Dam. “Properties like 282 don’t come around very often,” notes PVA’s Jaco du Toit. “Apart from being used as a family home, it also has the potential to be put to use as a B&B.”
