Specialised assets up for grabs

Assets belonging to a leading thermo-bonded, drylaid, non-woven product manufacturer are being brought to market by Park Village Auctions (PVA) in October according to PVA's Paul Lendia, who is said to oversee the auction.


Under the banner of plant and equipment, PVA will auction three fully automated production lines. According to Lendia, the lines and numerous finishing elements can be used to manufacture a complete range of lofted and height calibrated thermo-bonded and/or needle bonded felt products.

Line one comprises Bonino hopper feeders, a Bonino carding machine, a cross lapper 3mx4m, a Phoenix thermal bonding oven, a Phoenix offload conveyor, a Tectex 3m wide slitter and roller and bale vacuum packer.

Line two comprises Dellorco 1.5m bale openers, a Bonino 2.4m hopper feeder, a Bonino 3m carding machine, am automatex cross capper, a Tectex 2BSF 3m stitcher, a Phoenix thermal bonding oven, a Phoenix haul-off conveyor, a Phoenix 3m slitter and Tectex 3m bottom stitcher.

Line three features Dellorco and Villani blenders, blend boxes, a hopper feeder, a Mackie carding machine, a feed conveyor, a Fehrer stitcher, a thermal bonding oven, slitting conveyors, a compression roller and slitting conveyor.

PVA will also auction a pillow line comprising a bale opener and 1m carding machine, an automatic pillow filler and Juki industrial sewing machine. Other equipment includes a Trutzchler opener and belt conveyor, Bonino hoppers and feed belt conveyor, Tectex compression rollers, Bombi Meccanica Callender type CAL/2C/3.2 and a CEI metal detector.

Lots include a large fleet of Nissan Cabstar 20 and UD35 truck tractors, a Mitsubishi Canter, a Tata LPT509 truck tractor, a Ford Bantam 1.3 LDV, an Isuzu KB250LDV, a large fleet of Poni single axle/double axel volume body/Tautliner trailers and forklifts.

In addition to these assets, an assortment of office furniture and stock will also be auctioned. Raw material comprising printed plastics, clear plastics, wool, cashmere and spun-bond will also form part of the auction asset “pool”.

“This auction is ideal for those seeking specialised manufacturing assets and bidders on the lookout for general-purpose items such as the vehicles and office furniture,” remarks Lendia.

Viewing will take place at 203 Voorhamer Street, Silvertondale/Pretoria on October 9 from 10am to 3pm. The auction will take place at the same address on October 10 at 10.30am. All assets will be sold piece meal.
