Andiswa Mbantswa presented a live gospel concert at the Carletonville Civic Centre on Saturday 24 June. The purpose of the event was to unite the people of Merafong in fellowship and gospel music. In addition to Andiswa’s
main act, the programme featured various local artists like Hlumi Jali, Nqobile Motsa, Shudu Dzivhani and End Time Worshippers. Tumelo Shaq and Tshepiso brought supporting acts from the Vaal Triangle and there were
performances from Joyous Celebration’s Nozipho Phiri and Ndu Shezi. According to Andiswa, this event was part of a tour that she embarked on from her hometown, Welkom in the Free State in 2016. She decided to bring it to Carletonville and use her music to remind people that there is a Living God. ‘It was great, people came and I was
doing it for the Lord,’ said the Gospel sensation. The organiser, Mr Zakes Jali, would like to thank the churches that supported the event and who welcomed them during their church visits while building up to the show.
