WATCH: DJ Arch Jnr gets a standing ovation on ‘America’s Got Talent’

Simon Cowell says he has plans for the young DJ.

South Africa’s Got Talent 2016 winner DJ Arch Jnr captured the hearts of Americans after performing his original mix of hit songs on the competition on Monday. The six-year-old got the audience on their feet at his first song, impressing judges Mel B, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel.

Speaking prior to his performance, the youngest winner of the competition said he was there to defend his title.

“I know I can win,” he said.

After his performance, Cowell told DJ Arch Jnr: “You and I need to be talking after this show because I’ve got some plans for you, trust me. I think you’re a total, total little star. I absolutely love you. You’re six years old. You flew all the way from South Africa to take on the best.”

Klum said he was “the coolest six-year-old” she had ever met, while Mel B complimented his “impeccable timing”.
