South African, Nigerian and American comedians unite for a once-off comedy showcase, Heavyweights International Comedy, at Carnival City’s Big Top on the East Rand on Sunday.
The headliners include AY (Nigeria), Gina Yashere (US), Thenjiwe (SA) and Trevor Gumbi (SA), supported by Tumi Stopnonsons (SA) and Nina Hastie (SA).
In the driver’s seat as host for the afternoon is Toll Ass Mo while another draw card is Xhosa.
“These are top comedians who have come through the ranks over the years,” said events and entertainment manager at Carnival City, Matthew Cook.
“Expect a side-splitting, laugh-a-minute showcase of African and American quirky humour.”
The show starts at 3pm.
