Due to high demand, Boyz II Men adds Durban date

It was announced earlier this month that Boyz II Men will perform in Mzansi after their tour dates were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. 


Iconic boyband from the 1980s to the 1990s, Boyz II Men who have made numerous hits and made a large part of people’s childhoods, have added a date for Durban after much interest and how quickly their South African tour dates are selling. 

It was announced earlier this month that Boyz II Men will perform in Mzansi after their tour dates were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. 

The group was first scheduled to perform in April 2020 and was later postponed. It was initially postponed to March 2021, before the latest dates were announced.

Boyz II Men will be kicking off their tour in Cape Town on Tuesday, 31 October 2023, at the Grand Arena, GrandWest. 

Durban gets a date

In a statement, event organisers G21 Live and Vertex Events said on Friday a Durban leg of Boyz II Men tour has also been added. 

They will also perform in Pretoria at the SunBet Arena, Time Square, on Thursday, 2 November and, the Sun City Superbowl in the North West on Saturday, 4 November. 

The End of the Road band will now end their comprehensive tour in Durban ICC.

Vertex Events frontman Thato Segaole said: “Post the announcement of the tour last month, Durban fans reached out and we listened. And being the superstars that they are, Boyz II Men were more than willing to accommodate their KZN fanbase and do one more show. 

“We look forward to four spectacular live shows taking place at all corners of the country later this year.”

Currently, limited tickets are available at Ticketpro and range from R390 to R1 390.

Date: 5 November 2022

Where: Durban ICC, KwaZulu-Natal

For those who purchased tickets for the 2020/2021 concert dates, their tickets will automatically be valid for the new dates.

In order to ensure entry, ticket holders will need to get in touch with Ticketpro to get their old tickets exchanged.

Award-winning singer George Ezra has become one of the artists featured in a long list of musicians coming to SA this winter season.

The Backstreet Boys are set to perform in May. Erza will start his tour of SA in July.
