Royal news: Princess Charlene tells Prince Albert to bond with his other kids
Prince Albert has two children from a previous relationship - 29-year-old Jazmine Grace Grimaldi and 18-year-old Alexandre Grimaldi-Coste.

In this week’s royal update we discover that Queen Elizabeth, as well as other royal family members, are in support of the Black Lives Matter movement and that Princess Charlene has been pushing her husband, Prince Albert, to engage and bond with his children from previous relationships.
We also learn that Prince Harry has always known that he was going to someday leave his royal duties and title, and that Prince William and Kate Middleton spent their weekend in France with their three children for a special occasion.
Princess Charlene tells Prince Albert to connect with his kids from previous relationships
After finding herself staying in South Africa for months after contracting an ENT infection and being apart from her husband Prince Albert and her twins – Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella – a source says Princess Charlene has done some introspection.
According to People magazine, a close friend of the couple said Charlene has been encouraging her husband to develop a closer and more engaged relationship with his two children from his previous relationship, 29-year-old Jazmine Grace Grimaldi, and 18-year-old Alexandre Grimaldi-Coste.
“Charlene was really the one that was trying to pull the whole family together. She’s really been the champion for these kids in some ways. I’m not going to say she wants to have them around all the time, because there is some contention on many fronts,” said the source.
The source also touched on the relationship that Albert has with his son Alexandre, and said the Charlene has made it her mission to make it easier for the father and son to bond.
“Charlene has been keen on making it easy for Alexandre to interact with Albert and was encouraging Albert toward embracing him as his child,” said the couple’s friend.
Where is Kate Middleton?
The royal household has recently announced the public engagements that will be attended by the royal family members after a quiet August.
Kate Middleton, however, has not been scheduled to partake in any engagements announced by the royal household, and royal fans as well as critics have noticed that the Duchess of Cambridge has been absent from the public eye for a couple of months.
Kate was last seen publicly on 11 July when she attended the Wimbledon Men’s Singles final, and then attended the the European Championships football match at Wembley with Prince William and their son.

When he was four, Prince Harry apparently said he would quit his royal duties one day
In a Channel 5 documentary, former royal protection officer, Ken Wharfe, revealed a comment that Prince Harry made when he was four years old about not becoming a king in his later life.
“Diana would always take the two boys to Highgrove in Gloucestershire. On this particular occasion, Diana was driving, I was sat in the front, William and Harry in the back. They’d clearly got off to a bad start because they were arguing before we’d even left,” explained Wharfe in the documentary.
“Harry out of nowhere said: ‘William, one day you’ll be king, I won’t, it doesn’t matter therefore I can do what I like’.”
According to to the former royal protection officer, Princess Diana was shocked to hear the comment made by her son, and soon asked Harry where he had gotten such an idea from.
Years later, we can see that Harry’s comment as a four-year-old boy was a prediction of what was to come in his later life, after the Duke of Sussex quit his royal duties to live a life of his own with his wife and children.
Queen Elizabeth backs the “Black Lives Matter” movement
Speaking to Channel 4 News, the first black Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London, philanthropist Kenneth Olisa said he had discussed racial issues with the members of the royal family since George Floyd died in police custody in the US last year.
When he was asked if the royal family members supported the Black Lives Matter movement, he said: “The answer is easily yes.”
“I have discussed with the royal household this whole issue of race, particularly in the last 12 months since the George Floyd incident.
“It’s a hot conversation topic. The question is what more can we do to bind society to remove these barriers. They [the royals] care passionately about making this one nation bound by the same values.”
Prince William and Kate Middleton took the family to France for a special occasion
Over the weekend, the popular royal couple, as well as their three children, took a trip to France to attend the wedding of Kate’s brother, James Middleton, and his new bride Alizee Thevenet.
Daily Mail reported that the wedding was a small, family-only event, after the newlyweds had to postpone the special event twice due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
James took to social media to announce that he finally got the chance to marry the love of his life, and was happy to do so in the presence of his family and close friends.
“Yesterday I married the love of my life surrounded by family, friends, and of course a few dogs in the beautiful villahge of Bormes-les-Mimosas. Words cannot describe how happy I am,” he said in his post.
