Nicky Van Der Walt marks anniversary with Lee-Ann Liebenberg’s hottest covers

'I ended up marrying the woman of my dreams,' said Nicky Van Der Walt before thanking Lee-Ann for being the mother of his children.

Just months after an apparent cheating scandal, Nicky Van Der Walt and Lee-Ann Liebenberg seem to have kissed and made up.

They’ve been spotted together at Van Der Walt’s Sandton restaurant and have seemed all loved up in their social media posts.

The most recent show of affection was in the form of a post marking their anniversary on Van Der Walt’s Instagram.

The post was accompanied by a caption in which he explained that they started dating 12 years ago.

“I ended up marrying the woman of my dreams,” said Nicky before thanking her for being the mother of his children.

He also thanked her for her support over the years.

Liebenberg had her Instagram followers worried and wondering if her account had been hacked in early July when she announced the end of her 10-year marriage to Van Der Walt.

She followed up her announcement by asking her followers to follow her new private account and posted an image of herself stating that she had not been hacked.

“I have not been hacked… Emily_Kark you can have him,” wrote Liebenberg late on Friday evening.

Her posts left social media in shambles as users scrambled to find out whether what she posted was true as well as the identity of the woman she had intended to tag

Van der Walt eventually addressed his wife’s posts on social media the following morning and chalked it up to a case of post-partum depression

Days after Liebenberg’s posts, Ulrich Roux Associates released a statement on behalf of their client Emily Kark and said that she had accepted Liebenberg’s apology following a lawyer’s letter.

“We confirm that Ms Lee-Ann Liebenberg (“Liebenberg”) made baseless, dishonest and defamatory claims on social media about Ms Kark on 2 July 2021.  Said claims were devoid of any merit and made with the sole intention of causing reputational harm to Ms Kark, who was forced to seek urgent legal assistance in order to protect her reputation and dignity.

“Ms Kark accepts the apology and retraction of Liebenberg, regards this matter as being finalised and will not be making any statements to the media. She is now putting this incident behind her and returning to her life with her family.”
