Too much information: Thousands sign petition to gag Will and Jada

Using the most unflattering pictures of the couple, a person by the name of Dexter Morales started the petition last week.

Whatever happened to freedom of expression and speech?

Social media users are sick and tired of Hollywood couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith speaking about their unconventional marriage and relationships.

At the time of writing, over 2,500 people had signed the “Stop interviewing Will and Jada Smith!” petition on change.org.

Using the most unflattering pictures of the couple, a person by the name of Dexter Morales started the petition last week.

Their reasoning is simply based on “poor Will Smith”.

The target of the petition is now 5,000 signatures and its on its way to reaching it. People commented that the reason they are signing this petition is that Will and Jada have given too much access and information about their private life.

People’s irritability for Will and Jada started with the couple’s attempt to un-filter their relationship and “overshare” in hopes to help others and starting a dialogue on Red Table Talk.

The couple’s relationship is far from the norm. Will has shared that their marriage isn’t “a prison”, while Jada has stated that she wasn’t sexually pleased by her husband. This information seems to have been a little more than some people were willing to read.

Jada’s exploits with R&B singer August Alsina, which Will wrote about in his book, also didn’t sit well with some people. In many interviews, the topic of their relationship comes up and the media knows Will and Jada rarely hold anything back.

Will has also opened up about his drug abuse and the adverse effects he had after having too much sex to deal with his heartbreak.

Just last week, “psychosomatic reaction to an orgasm” became another hot topic after he disclosed this information.

On a recent appearance on Trevor Noah’s The Daily Show, King Richard actor said the criticism against them was something they didn;t pay too much attention to, as there was “nothing to protect themselves from.”

“The malice, that only speaks to other people’s level of consciousness and a lack of loving-kindness on their part, it doesn’t say anything about us. Our job as a couple is to purify our hearts as much as we can to never do that to other human beings. To not add to the chaos and darkness.”
