Black Coffee allegedly blackmailed over affair
DJ Black Coffee and his actress wife Mbali Mlotshwa appear to have become entangled in an alleged blackmail scandal involving another woman.
According to Sunday World the couple claim they are being harassed by Pheladi Makola, a model, who allegedly had an affair with the renowned DJ.
“I wish this woman would leave me alone. She has been harassing me for the past two months, running to the media and trying to extort money from us,” Mlotshwa told the paper.
“She’s asked for amounts of R3500 right up to R20000.
“She threatens to beat me up. I’m tired of this girl and her fabricated stories. I want her to leave me alone. Even if they did sleep together, why is she involving me? Whatever problems my husband and I have, we’ll work through them,” she said.
Makola told the paper the only money she asked from Black Coffee was the R7000 reimbursement for a shoot she missed because the pair went away for the weekend together.
She claims the DJ followed her first on social media and immediately started sending her ‘flirtatious messages and private pictures’.
Black Coffee has to respond to the papers requests for comment.
