Roughly a year ago popular radio station Metro FM took a major decision to cut all ties with the controversial businessman and radio personality DJ Sbu( real name Sibusiso Leope), after he promoted his energy drink Mofaya at the 2015 Metro FM Music Awards that were broadcast live on SABC1.
While Leope has once spoken about being in serious debt because of the financial losses he has made in order to guarantee that his start-up business – energy drink MoFaya – flourishes, the businessman has once again taken to social media and opened up about his financial woes.
“Exactly today a year ago I was MoFaya’d! I’m still broke AF. I have missed 12 good cheques & all the many gigs & appearances that came with it. Has it been worth it? Only time will tell! How willing are you to sacrifice short term gains for long term success?” Leope wrote on instagram. In another instagram post the DJ jotted down that “the struggle is real.”
