Julius Malema claps hands for Black Coffee

Not only did the CIC clap hands for the DJ, he also gave him a thumbs up and a fist bump. There's clearly no love lost between Malema and AKA.

Following reports that Nkosinathi “Black Coffee” Maphumulo slapped Kiernan “AKA” Forbes’ manager, Tshiamo Letshwene, Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) CIC Julius Malema took to Twitter to clap hands and show the DJ a thumbs up, using emoticons.

Malema has also called artists who were campaigning druggies, with most people and AKA himself assuming the CIC was referring to him. So it’s little wonder that Malema was congratulating Black Coffee for slapping AKA’s manager.

On Sunday morning, Twitter woke up to news that DJ Sbu and AKA’s manager were slapped at the DStv iRock Festival on Saturday night.

According to a Twitter user that Coffee had been retweeting, the We Dance Again hit maker had taken to the stage at his allocated time when AKA and his crew, who were about two hours late, walked on to the stage and started doing their sound check.

Black Coffee, who also has had his fair share of AKA’s Twitter rants directed at him, was not impressed at the crew for disturbing his set, so he slapped his manager.

The altercation left AKA in anger, and footage of him physically fighting the festival organisers was filmed by The Citizen’s Refilwe Modise. AKA, however, claimed on Twitter that he did not get violent at all.

On Sbusiso Leope, the DJ reportedly was slapped by a security guard at FNB last week.

DJ Sbu once got into hot water with Limpopo people who felt insulted after he called them “dibari” meaning “fools”, though he later said he didn’t mean it in the literal sense of the word.

According to Twitter, it seems Limpopo people were having none of it and did not forget his words, as the security guard, presumably from Limpopo, gave him a hot one, though other reports claim he was klapped “for nothing”.

There are alleged pictures of the DJ on Twitter showing that the encounter led him to pee on himself.
