Khanya Mkangisa rubbishes reports she was hijacked at gunpoint

She said she is safe and still has her car.

TV star, Khanya Mkangisa has rubbished reports that her black Range Rover was hijacked at gunpoint.

This after City Press reported that police were allegedly searching for 15 suspects responsible for her hijacking.

The publication also claimed that a source said some of Khanya’s belongings were taken during the incident.

“The incident took place at about 10 pm when an unknown vehicle stopped in front of her, and the suspects approached her with guns, forcibly removing her from her vehicle. They also took some of her personal belongings, including a cellphone and laptop,” a source said as quoted by the publication.

Khanya says she is safe and still has her car

Setting the record straight, Khanya told an Instagram blog, Buzzy B, that she and her car were safe.

She admitted that the publication reached out to her for a comment, adding: “I didn’t respond but he went ahead and published it anyway. It’s false. I’m safe and still have my car.”

Khanya received the Range Rover as a birthday present earlier this year. Showing it off on Instagram, she wrote: “Big body whip for the birthday girl! Beyond blessed!”

Another Mzansi Celeb who was gifted a brand-new whip this year is Londie London.

Her new man bought her the same car model, BMW X6, as the one that her ex-fiancé, Hlubi Nkosi, confiscated after their break up.

During her interview with L-tido, Londie said Hlubi took the car because he demanded to know her whereabouts even though they were no longer together.

She explained: “There were certain rules he wanted to lay regarding the car situation. Well, obviously, we were not together. So, you cannot report your whereabouts to someone you’re not together with. First of all, you’re not even checking on the kids, but you want an update about where I am.”
