DJ and media personality Lamiez Holworthy recently shared a heartwarming video of her giving birth to her first child, a baby boy named Leano-Laone.
The video shows the moments leading up to and following the birth, and has touched the hearts of many fans.
In the video’s caption, she expressed gratitude for an answered prayer and marvelled at the fact that a perfect little human came from her body. She wrote, “I still can’t believe it, and find myself staring at him in awe”.
Chopping onions
The occasion was highly emotional, leading some to refer to it as a “chopping onions” moment due to the tears shed by Lamiez, her husband Kuli Chana, and even some of their fans.

A couple of weeks before giving birth, Lamiez posted a photo of herself and her husband Kuli Chana, a South African rapper, in their son’s nursery, which they had decorated for his arrival.
In the post’s caption, she posed the question, “Do you remember what it was like on the day you gave birth?”
As a result of her question, some of her fans shared their own experiences of giving birth.
Journey to motherhood
Despite her excitement about becoming a mom for the first time, Lamiez faced some challenges along the way.
In a playful Instagram post from a month ago, she shared a video of her photo shoot and joked about the difficulties of dressing up with a ‘bun in the oven’, especially for a boy child.
She revealed that it was both tricky and expensive, but still managed to rock her outfit with style.

Baby daddy vibes
Lamiez’s husband, Khuli Chana, is also relishing the joys of parenthood.
Recently, he posted a photo of his one-month-old baby boy, Leano-Laone, on social media, captioning it with the phrase “What a time🥺❤️ #1monthOld #PapaPumpkin”.
Chana has an older child from a previous relationship.
