Radio personality and entertainer Relebogile Mabotja has opened a case of intimidation after a deal with a local designer turned sour and apparently left her fearing for her life

According to Sunday World, Relebogile opened a case of intimidation at the Linden police station against celebrity designer Rea Kalape after he allegedly failed to honour an arrangement between them.

Relebogile, who is also an actress and singer further claimed that one of Rea’s friends allegedly made threats to her life.

The tabloid quoted a statement issued by the SA Music Rights Organisation as saying that Rea was hired to design an outfit for Relebogile for a shoot, but allegedly failed to deliver the outfit on time, which resulted in the shoot being cancelled.

“The deadline was the 8th April 2019 for delivery and the amount of R7500 paid via eWallet. Then the balance was R6100,” read part of the statement.

After the shoot was cancelled Relebogile was apparently left with no choice but to also cancel the deal with Rea.

This allegedly did not sit well with him and one of his friends allegedly told the star that she needed to pay the money or “something bad can happen to her”
It was at this stage that she turned to the police to intervene.

Police spokesperson Kay Makhubela confirmed to the tabloid that a case of intimidation was opened and that an investigation is underway.

However, Rea fiercely denied the allegations.

“I was straight forward with her and told her that if she does not pay me I was going to take her to the papers, is that intimidation? I don’t think so because I did not threaten her life. She is the one who intimidated me with police officers to avoid paying me,” he told Sunday World.

Rea added that Relebogile could keep the money allegedly owed to him as he just wants to move on with his life.

Rea who is also a celebrity stylist has styled the likes of Maps Maponyane, actor Kay Sibiya and Khanyi Mbau in the past.

Here’s a look at one of the shoots he styled Khanyi for.
