Stick to your lane – Somizi

Television personality and adored choreographer Somizi ‘Somgaga’ Mhlongo took to Twitter to share a revelation.

“I’ve just had an epiphany,” he said. “I’m driving and I’m thinking; this is how I view my life. My life is like a road trip,” he said in a video.  “When I drive I stay in my lane. I  avoid potholes, but should I go on a pothole, I keep it moving or I stop and check,” he said, adding that should he find things damaged he fixes or replaces them, but nothing stops him from moving forward.

“I don’t make U-turns,” he further said, explaining that the aim was for him is to “arrive alive.”  Mhlongo continued to share his thoughts and elaborated more that he was in no competition with anyone, but merely staying on his path.

“I don’t compete. I don’t race. I don’t want to get there faster than anyone. I get there at my own time, as safely as possible and as quickly as I can, but sticking to the limit. I don’t push people on my way to my destination,” he continued.

Its public knowledge now that the flamboyant entertainer is a jack of all trades after he successfully hosted the 22nd SA Music Awards (Samas) in Durban this year.  Somgaga also announced recently on social media that he had scored himself a great radio gig.

Though he didn’t want to reveal too much on this, he did mention that the deal was with an SABC radio station, leaving fans hanging about his future radio presenter career.

We are more than certain that whatever show he gets, Somgaga will make it worth listening to.

All the best Somgaga! Continue to slay!
