Soxx and Thembi evicted from Big Brother Mzansi

They won R25 000 each just two days ago, but on Sunday night, Soxx and Tembi, from PE and the Wild Coast respectively, were evicted from Big Brother Mzansi: Double Trouble after spending 49 days in the reality series.

They are the last pair to be evicted prior to next week’s big Finale during which time one of the remaining three pairs will win R2 million!

This week, the show started when series host Lungile Radu reminded audiences that there were four pairs remaining in the game, of which two pairs (Chelsea and Mbali plus Soxx and Tembi) were nominated for possible eviction this time around. Meanwhile, the other two pairs (Ace and Ntombi plus Blue and K2) were assured of a spot in the finale. With that scene-setter established, Lungile then introduced an insert featuring last week’s evictees Kay and Pumba.

First though, after crossing to the house, Lungile encouraged Blue and K2 to reveal to the rest of the Housemates that they had won a Power of Immunity advantage three weeks earlier but decided not to use it. With that surprise out of the bag, Lungile was ready to make the eviction announcement. The two nominated Housemate pairs stood and waited to hear if their names would be called. After a few moments, that may have felt like a lifetime to them, Lungile broke the news…that Soxx and Tembi were out of the show!

The two, who chose to pair up after their original partners left the house, met Lungile on stage after a performance of Freedom or Fame by Blakez featuring Reason. Chatting to Lungile about their romance which developed in the house, and which was seemingly challenged by K2 and Tembi’s flirtations, both Soxx and Tembi agreed that only time would tell what would happen next in their relationship. The pair also got the opportunity to see just which other pairs had nominated them for eviction this week, after which they quickly confirmed that no one’s nomination had surprised them.

With Soxx and Tembi done chatting through their time in the game with Lungile, the pair left the stage and Lungile crossed back into the house to wish the remaining three pairs (Ace and Ntombi, Blue and K2 plus Chelsea and Mbali) all the very best of luck as they entered their final week.

Lungile also confirmed to viewing audiences that voting for the winners of Big Brother Mzansi: Double Trouble would begin straight after last night’s show, and run all the way until next Sunday morning (May 17) at 06:00 AM.
