The beauty of culturally-integrated weddings

Hlubi Mboya got married two weeks back to her Scottish husband Kirsten Arnold.

In this week’s episode of Four Weddings, we get introduced to Flamboyant Keke who celebrates marriage to her Orthodox Jewish boyfriend in Sotho sesheshwe style.

We’ve witnessed with other cross-cultural weddings and well they come together. In 2015, it is overwhelming to see how much cultures embrace each other and even find a way to make it work on their special day. Remember September 6’s episode of Our Perfect Wedding where we met Bathabile and Dhiren?

For those who do not remember, Bathabile is from a Zulu background, while Dhiren an Indian Hindu. For both families, it was a bit difficult at first to accept their in-laws because of cultural differences, but as we can see in the picture, it worked out well.

Looking at other cross-cultural weddings, Hlubi Mboya recently to her Scottish husband Kirsten Arnold. What made their wedding beautiful was the cultural integration; Hlubi got married in her isiXhosa traditional attire while Arnold in his Scottish attire.
