Riaad Moosa: the doctor is in

Get your dose of laughter with the popular comedian’s new show.

Comedy doctor Riaad Moosa prescribes laughter as the best medicine when he brings his troupe of laughter medics to the Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace for his latest show, Doctor Moosa Prescribes, on December 13.

The hilarious Moosa is an award-winning comedian, presenter, writer, actor, and also happens to be a qualified medical doctor. Regarded as one of the country’s most popular and acclaimed comics with a style all of his own, he has the perfect remedy for the nation’s ailments: a healthy dose of laughter, straight up – hold the aspirin.

Joining Moosa on stage will be upcoming comics, including Comics Choice 2015 Newcomer winner Yaaseen Barnes, Schalk Bezuidenhout and Kagiso KG Mokgadi. This one-night-only show will not only have audience members in stiches, but will leave them wanting more!

Moosa’s previous one-man shows, Strictly Halaal and For The Baracka, were instant hits, both live and on DVD. Moosa has appeared in various TV and film productions, such as Laugh Out Loud.

Moosa also played the role of Ahmed Kathrada in the epic Oscar Nominated and Golden Globe awarded biopic Mandela – Long Walk to Freedom, which was released in November 2013.

Emperors Palace is conveniently located alongside OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, and offers regular complimentary shuttles.
