‘The Wife’: Is this the end of Hlomu and Mqhele’s relationship?
After the latest developments in Hlomu and Mqhele’s relationship, fans of The Wife have concluded that Hlomu believes in 'indoda.'

Upon realising that Hlomu is a journalist in the latest episodes of Showmax telenovela The Wife, and that she is currently investigating the ongoing cash-in-transit heists that the Zulu brothers are involved in, the family’s oldest brother Nkosana issues a directive that may see Hlomu and Mqhele’s relationship come to an end.
A defiant Mqhele immediately registers his opposition to this suggestion and insists that he will forge on with his plans to marry his love.
Although the telenovela is based on the first three books in the Hlomu series by Dudu Busani Dube, the first season is setting the tone for the story by focusing on Hlomu and Mqhele’s relationship.
Therefore, we’re going to have to wait a while to see if this relationship survives Mqhele’s abusive ways and the Zulu brother’s big secret which they seem to want to keep under wraps at all costs.
After a family meeting about Hlomu and Mqhele’s relationship with the brothers, Mqhele assures the Zulu’s that he will handle the situation.
The lovebirds’ relationship isn’t the only thing causing a rift between the brothers who begin to fight over the proceeds of their ill-gotten gains.
All this against the backdrop of Hlomu preparing to walk down the aisle and tie her life to Mqhele’s before God, the ancestors and the law.

Despite everything that’s going on, Hlomu and Mqhele somehow manage to reach their wedding day and all of Mqhele’s brothers are there for him, even with the rift in the family.
Their wedding day also just so happens to be the day that she cracks the case regarding who is actually committing all the cash-in-transit heists and confronts her in-laws head-on, potentially at the risk of her own life.
