Horses and motorcycles go at it at Farm Eikehof

The young competitors showed remarkable bravery and concern for their mounts, and returned for the subsequent divisions.

The National Barrel Horse Association of South Africa hosted an event at the Farm Eikehof on the R65 to Amsterdam over the weekend.

Equestrians and motorcyclists across various divisions showcased their skill and speed in multiple events such as the 3D barrel racing, pole bending, a Coca-Cola race and Texas barrels.

The spectators were treated to a selection of food and drinks on offer.

The horses received excellent care, with fly repellents and water provided throughout the day.

Despite some being unseated and understandably shaken, both riders and their horses emerged unharmed.

The young competitors showed remarkable bravery and concern for their mounts, resolutely returning for the subsequent divisions.
