Determination on display at Kralinbergh parkrun
The parkrun events featured an exciting competition among participants and celebrated three top runners.
Last weekend’s parkrun event featured an exciting competition among participants, with the top three finishers in both the men’s and women’s categories putting on an impressive display of determination.
Leading the pack in the men’s division was Janru Van Zyl, finishing with an impressive time of 32:08.
The young runner displayed remarkable endurance as he crossed the finish line ahead of the competition.
Rhulani Mabunda crossed the line in second with a solid time of 34:07, marking another strong performance in the men’s field.
The third-place spot went to Petrus Erasmus, who completed the course in 39:40.
On the women’s side, Miané van Zyl took the top spot with a time of 32:11, narrowly trailing the leading male competitor.

At just 10 years old, she finished just three seconds behind the men’s winner.
Ntokozo Khumalo, another impressive young athlete in the 11 to 14 age group, secured second place with a time of 36:48.
Rounding out the top three women was Simoné van Zyl, who finished in 36:56.
A total of 34 runners took part in the latest Kralinbergh parkrun, with three newcomers.
Six runners also managed to improve their personal best times.
The parkrun was made possible this week by the volunteers: Francois Boshoff, Theodor Boshoff, Karin Erasmus, Eben Jonker, Lakesh Maharaj, Bongile Maluleke, and Dirk Snyman. This event takes place every Saturday at 08:00.
