The Gee Jays bring back memories

The Gee Jays will perform at Tina's Hotel in Kloof this month.

THE Gee Jays (Gary McKenzie, John Didlick and Grant Bell) are back, by popular demand, with their smash hit show, “Don’t Tune Me – Ek Se”.

The trio music brings back the good old days memories of braaivleis, rugby and sunny skies. The Gee Jays will perform at Tina’s Hotel in Kloof.

The line-up, together with the usual madcap antics of The Gee Jays will have you rolling in the isles as well as remembering what you were doing, when these discs were being spun, back in the day.

If these songs, Pretty Belinda, Yellow River, Tie a Yellow Ribbon and Rhinestone Cowboy, Let Your Love Flow and Have You Ever Seen the Rain jog a fond memory for you (or your children), then this show is for you. They are all the tunes we have a soft spot for, even if we never admit it.

Great 70’s artists like Bob Marley, Lobo, Paul McCartney and Wings and, of course The Village People. The Beatles, The Bee Gees, The Bellamy Brothers and Cliff Richards, and the great Neil Diamond. Not to mention some of the many great South African bands who made it big in the 70’s, like Charisma, Alan Garity and even Jeremy Taylor.

It is an evening of pure South African nostalgia not to be missed.

The show runs for eight performances from Thursday 20, Friday 21, Sundays 23 and 30 November and with lunch time shows on Wednesday 19, Friday 21, Wednesday 26 and Friday 28 to cater for the festive season corporate market and is presented in “supper theatre” format.

Buffet supper will be served from 7pm. The show starts at 8.30am and on Sunday, lunch (carvery lunch) is from 12.30pm with the show starting at 2pm.

Tickets cost R195 per person for the meal and show. Show only option available at R120 per person (no meal included).
