Sundowner benefit concert for Keith Bodsworth
This concert is all in an effort to assist Keith with his medical expenses.
Durban musician, Keith Bodsworth, is in hospital undergoing treatment for cancer.
Keith is a flautist and a popular performer at various venues in and around Durban, among others: Zack’s Acoustic Nights, Glenwood Old Boys’ Open Mic Nights, The Horse & Hound and Meercats. He has also performed with Lance Goldman and his band, Sea Level.
In an effort to assist Keith with medical expenses, renowned singer/guitarist, Steve Fataar, ably-assisted by stalwart supporter of local live music, Diana du Plooy, has arranged a show featuring some of Durban’s well-known musicians. The action will take place at Zack’s, Wilson’s Wharf on Sunday, 30 August.
The music will be unplugged and will start at 5pm, featuring Steve Fataar, Tiffany Sheppard, Antonio Ravell and Joanne Imrie, Ross Tapson, Aury Livingstone, Stefnie Perlman, Allan Mardon, René Tshiakanyi, Gary Nixon, Axel Batsch and more.
There will be no set couver charge, but collection boxes will be set out. Raffles and auctions will be held during the evening, and attendees are asked to open their hearts and, especially, their wallets.
Anyone wanting more info or wishing to assist or make donations can phone Steve Fataar on 079 988 3724 or Diana du Plooy on 082 709 0028. Phone Zack’s on 031 305 1677 to reserve tables.
