Bollywood songstress to perform in Durban
Bolloywood songstress, Sunidhi Chauhan, established herself as the strongest live performer and singer in India to date.
AFTER sold-out concerts seven years ago, the voice of India, Sunidhi Chauhan, returns to South Africa this April, hosted by Golden Jewellers.
Sunidhi, the woman behind hit evergreen numbers such as Dhoom machale dhoom, Sheila ki jawaani, Beedi Jalaile and more, is the liveliest voice in Bollywood and remains unbeaten even after more than 15 years.
Called the ‘numero uno’ singer of this generation ahead of contemporaries such as Lata Mangeshkar, Sunidhi is definitely one of her kind and can set the stage on fire with her live act and performance.
As a coach on television reality show, The Voice, Sunidhi is the most popular female Indian playback singer and performer today, best known for her Hindi film songs from Bollywood. Sunidhi has also recorded songs in several other Indian dialects and languages, making her one of the most recorded voices in India today with more than 3 000 studio recordings and 50 million albums sold worldwide throughout her award-winning and illustrious career.
She made her international début with the song Heartbeat (Indian Mix), a collaboration with Enrique Iglesias. Sunidhi has been awarded with prestigious national awards on several occasions and has established herself as a strong live performer and singer in India.
Sunidhi has electrified concert-goers all over the world. This talented songstress has just returned from the Global Citizen Festival in New York, where she was introduced by Hollywood A-listers, Hugh Jackman and Salma Hayek, and performed sharing the stage with music’s big names such as Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran and Coldplay.
Sunidhi had a special messages for her fans: “South Africa, get ready for a mind-blowing concert like you have never seen before.”
The sensational performer will be accompanied by Season 5 Indian Idol, Rakesh Maini, and an international band with a special lighting, graphics and crew from Mumbai to create a spectacular show for patrons.
She will perform at the Westridge Tennis Stadium in Durban on Friday, 22 April. Tickets start at R220 each and are available through Computicket, Golden Jewellers (Gateway and Chatsworth Centre) and Sunrise Fruiterers (Overport).
