Gear up for State of Stance car show

From cars, simulators, DJs and local celebs, this year's State of Stance will be bigger and better.

THE Pavilion shopping Centre is gearing up for a weekend of smoking tyres and fist-pumping sound on Saturday, 6 and Sunday, 7 August for a State of Stance.

The event is KZN’s biggest and loudest motoring show and the venue will be filled with revving engines and the biggest of SA’s club beats, played till late.

Hip-hop king, Cassper Nyovest, will head up a superstar line-up of SA’s DJs such as Roger Goode, Euphonik, Reddy D and Durban’s own, Deon Govender.

Backing the bass, the purpose built A State of Stance taxi is a bone-shaking sound rig and is kitted out with digital screens, smoke machines, lasers and air suspension. To complement the dance floor, a VIP lounge is on hand for an elite party experience, including a hookah lounge, 13 dedicated DJs and personal waitresses.

Rolling burnouts from Custom Rat Rods kick off the petrol spectacle. Reece Williamson, KZN’s local and spin pioneer, presides over a festival of smoking spin action. The East Coast RC Drift Club will take onlookers through nail-biting drifts, powering their supercharged custom builds around corners with the handbreak high, and Redbull athlete and trick bike champion, Brian Capper, is set to present mind-bending trick bike stunts along with a meet and greet.

While the night is filled with beats, the days rock to the sound of super-charged engines.

High speed driving gets extreme and close-up in racing simulators open to the public, and a supercar exhibition invites visitors to climb inside the world’s baddest cars.

“A State of Stance gets bigger and better every year,” said event organiser Prethiven Naidoo. “We’re proud to put together this unique blend of motoring and music entertainment. It’s simply massive.”
