Fabulous reads – Mystery novel is a non-stop thrill ride
Book review - The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins.

The Girl on the Train (movie tie-in edition), Paula Hawkins, Penguin Random House, ISBN: 9781784161750
WONDERFUL, intense and fast-paced are just a few of the words I can think of to describe this breathtaking novel.
The characters are flawed, they’re broken and through some twist of fate, their complex and chaotic lives somehow collide to create this unputdownable read.

Rachel is the girl on the train who watches a couple day by day as she passes them by on her travels through to the bustling city of London. She creates an idyllic back story for the couple, giving them names and even finds herself becoming slightly envious of their relationship. Until, during a trip through to the capital, she sees something that shatters her perfect image of the ‘dream couple’, a juicy slice of poisonous information that sets the thrilling plot into motion.
The pages of this book will blitz by you at breakneck speeds and has an amazing build up that fell a bit flat for me in the last few pages. Despite this, it is a gorgeously written book and the pages will blitz by you at break-neck speeds. A definite must-read!
