How David Tlale will celebrate 20 years in the fashion industry

David's big celebration is on this week...

World-renowned fashion designer David Tlale is pulling all the stops for his 20th anniversary in the fashion Industry.

To celebrate this milestone, Tlale will unveil an extraordinary 80-piece collection at a spectacular fashion show tomorrow, 8 November.

The 80-piece collection symbolises a tribute to his late mother, who would have turned 80 in September this year.

The invite-only show will take place in the vibrant Melrose Arch Precinct ahead of the highly anticipated African Fashion International (AFI) Joburg Fashion Week.

Without giving away too much, the show will start with a special segment featuring a 30-piece collection by six exceptional interns. Each intern will be able to showcase their unique vision through a captivating five-piece collection.

The first segment will highlight the importance of collaboration and mentorship within the industry and Tlale’s dedication to cultivating the next generation of fashion leaders.

Presented by the House of David Tlale, the show is supported by Melrose Arch, African Fashion International, Black Motion Production, M.A.C Cosmetics, TASTIC, Mizani, with PR by OnPoint PR and produced by ELALT Events and Productions.

Tlale’s footprints in the Fashion industry date back to 2003, when he launched the David Tlale brand after winning the Elle New Talent at SA Fashion Week.

He since worked his way to being the powerhouse that he is today. Speaking at the House of David Tlale celebration a few weeks ago, Tlale said this year was one for him to reflect on how God has been amazing.

“If you keep the faith and dream alive, it doesn’t matter what you go through in life. You can make it. This moment is purely a testament to what God can do because my abilities and our abilities as the House of David Tlale are nothing without God’s presence,” he added.
