If you’re a fan of the Sorbet beauty and grooming group, you’re going to love the new addition to the family.

It’s the new treatment spot to get excited about called Sorbet SK-N (skin). With the flagship store located inside the shopper’s paradise that is Hyde Park Mall, the latest addition to the ever-expanding Sorbet franchise gives you all the original treatments you know and love.

Added to the menu are more affordable nip-tuck treatments that would otherwise be very pricey at an aesthetics doctor.

Developed with the aim of offering the usual clientele a little more in terms of high-end treatments, the facility ventures beyond just manicures and pedicures and ushers patrons into the fabulous and otherwise out-of-reach realm of fillers, Botox, deep peels and mask treatments – all under the watchful eye and recommendation of a qualified medical professional.

The unique selling point of the outlet is the skin assessment machine. A therapist will talk you through the process of sitting opposite the machine and allowing it to take pictures of your skin.

These images are magnified and the areas that require treatment allocated and assessed, the outcome of which determines the appropriate treatment.

The benefits of the machine include allowing the therapist to see into the inner layers of the dermis, beyond the surface.

Ordinarily, you would walk into a therapist’s office where your skin would be viewed and treated on a superficial level. With this technology, treatment can go deeper and chances of burns, sensitivity or even scaring are minimised.

The therapist will also start you on the lightest treatment first to make sure the skin is suitably comfortable.

The treatments offered are all noninvasive, which means minimal swelling, if at all, and slight reddening, which can be covered with a light coat of makeup foundation.

My recommendation is a super mild peel which rejuvenates the skin. Results start to show within a month.
