Elvis Blue and the Sweet Dreamers Marimba Band rock the Lowveld at Gaan Bos inniMall
The Sweet Dreamers Marimba band and Elvis Blue performed at the entertainment entrance at i'langa Mall this afternoon, September 25.


The last day of Gaan Bos inniMall saw Lowvelders coming in droves to enjoy the last few performances and shows the event had to offer. Elvis Blue, who rose to fame in 2010 after winning Idols SA, performed for an enthusiastic audience outside the i’langa Mall’s entertainment entrance at 13:00 on Saturday, September 25.

With his guitar in hand, Blue greeted the cheering audience before belting out several songs, some originals and some covers. Between sets, the musician engaged with his crowd, telling stories about his life growing up and thanking any audience members who had voted for him in the 2010 finals of Idols SA.

His performance drew out cameras and cell phones as the crowd tried to capture Blue’s lively performance.
Next to perform was the electric Sweet Dreamers Marimba Band. The band, made up of both youths and adults, wowed the crowd outside the i’langa Mall’s entertainment entrance with their lively music on Saturday afternoon.


The band members play the electric drums, an electric guitar, bass, a saxophone and, of course, the marimba. The group even dedicated a song to Mpumalanga, thanking Gaan Bos inniMall for the opportunity to play, as well as their cheering audience, who seemed unable to get enough of their music.
