TCC start Sekhukhune Cricket League with a bang

The league involves four teams from the Sekhukhune region.

Tubatse Cricket Club (TCC) kickstarted the u-21 Sekhukhune Cricket League (SCL) with a convincing win on July 4. In their first match, TCC defeated Dennilton Cricket Club by five wickets.

The match was played at the Manganeng Sports Ground.

Dennilton won the toss and elected to bat, but were bowled out for just 77 runs.

TCC successfully chased down the target, reaching 81/4 in just 7.3 overs. In the other league match, Praktiseer Cricket Club defeated Malegale Cricket Club by 88 runs.

This T20 league features four teams from the Sekhukhune region: TCC, Praktiseer Cricket Club, Dennilton Cricket Club and Malegale Cricket Club.


TCC’s coach Usman Ayub Rao and club captain Muhammed Gangat praised the players for their outstanding performance in their first match of the league competition.

Dennilton captain Tshegofatjo Makola, umpire LucasMokgomogane and TCC captain Muhammad Gangat.


Rao said: “Once again, I want to thank my boys for playing an excellent game. Our practice sessions and hard work are now bearing fruit. Our aim is to become one of the best teams in Limpopo and win the u-21 league.”
