Women and ‘men’ to fly-fish for Cansa in Gunyatoo Fly-fishing Classic

The celebration of women has been billed as a fun event.

The Gunyatoo Ladies Fly-fishing Classic will be held at Gunyatoo Trout Lodge in the Renosterhoek area on August 12.

Teams of four women will compete against each other to determine who the queens of fly-fishing are.

There is one more catch, teams of men can also enter, but must wear pink.

“This event will be a fun day, while celebrating being women. A generous portion of the proceed will be donated to Cansa,” said organiser, Jani Wessels.

The morning fly-fishing will be done on the Sabie River. The teams then will travel to Gunyatoo where the afternoon session will be held.

Prizes will be awarded for the longest bag, best team spirit and best dressed team.

The cost to enter is R2 000 per team, which will include lunch and drinks.

Contact Jani on 072 446 5184 or email [email protected] to enter or for more information.
