Community beseeched to help send Lerato to pageant in USA
“We are pleading with sponsors, local business, the municipality and anyone who can assist us to raise a total of R50 000 for Lerato’s trip. The money is for visas, plane tickets, hotels, gowns, make-up products and other accessories. We have also saved some cash for the trip, but it won’t be enough, which is why we are seeking assistance from locals,” said Keletso Moahloli, Lerato’s mother.
BURGERSFORT – A local young model and the International Junior Miss Preteen South Africa (IJMSA), Lerato Moahloli, needs assistance to achieve her dreams.
The 13-year-old grade 8 learner of Calvin College has won a sponsored trip to Orlando in the United States
to represent the country, modelling. Lerato is an ambitious girl who has a passion for modelling and
pageants.
“I started doing pageants back in 2018. Modelling gave me a voice, enhanced my character and boosted my confidence. I also do spiritual dancing in my spare time and like sewing clothes for my dolls.
“Apart from modelling, my goal in life is to own an aerospace engineering company.”
Her family told Steelburger/ Lydenburg News they are in need of financial assistance or sponsors for the girl to compete in the USA.
