IN PHOTOS: Dust Buster #1 gives riders an excuse for speed

The youngest biker on the day was four-year-old Janieke Esterhuizen.

Tania Ortiz Bugarin was untouchable in the women’s 50km race at the Dust Buster #1 held at Hall’s Farm on Sunday, June 14. She won the race in 01:58:57, with only eight male riders faster than her. 296 riders completed in the four distances.

Lumart Pienaar was in fine form in the senior male 50km race. He won in 01:39:38. Dalmyn Pretorius was second in 01:42:17, and Jacques Burger claimed third place in 01:47:40.

In the 12km sprogs male category, Kyle Lawrie took first place in 00:39:59. Roux van der Walt was second in 00:40:46, and Henco Meyer third in 00:44:01.

Dust Buster #2 will take place at the same venue on July 12.
